Auckland's historic and venerable Domain plays host to the Corporate Challenge for the 37th time in 2026.
Yes, the OG Corporate Challenge took place in The Domain in 1990 and we are indeed priveleged to return once again for this latest edition. Although there is a slight location change this year, the course is virtually unaltered and will once again feature some of Auckland's premier historic landmarks. The 5k course passes the Auckland Museum, the Cenotaph, the Wintergarden and the Pavillion - all wrapped up in wide and wonderful harbour views.
Venue Map
We are experimenting with a new location for Corporate Challange Auckland this year with the venue now on the upper playing fields (near the Wintergarden) instead of our usual spot in front of the Grandstand. The start and finish lines will both be on Wintergarden Rd and we are looking forward to seeing everyone lined up for the start. It will be quite a sight with the Auckland Museum directly ahead!
Important! Team tents and supplies may be dropped off and picked up from Football Rd - there is no access to the playing fields. Check out the access map below.
Team Tents
Team Tents are one of the signature features of Corporate Challenge. They're a great way for you and your team mates to meet before the event and relax and socialise after the run. Team tents can be either RENTAL or BYO and there is always enough space for everyone (even if it is does get a bit squishy later in the afternoon). If you are bringing your own tent then it's first come, best dressed and you can place your tent any time from 1pm onwards (there are crew on site throughout the afternoon so it's fine to leave food, bbq, etc inside). RENTAL TENTS
If you want to make the evening hassle-free then you can rent a tent package from us which includes a 3x3 gazebo (with walls on 3 sides), trestle table and seating for four. All for a tidy $250+gst (see button below to book). Rental tents are the first ones setup at the venue so they usually have the best posi, near the stage. You can just rock up to the venue any time after 1pm, find the tent with your company name on it and get ready to partaaay!
Important! We are strictly limited to 15 pre-booked team tents and these usually sell out well in advance, so book early to avoid disappointment.
Location, Access & Parking
The Domain is right in the heart of the city with easy access from Newmarket, Newton or Parnell. Keep in mind that road closures during the event will restict access to the event venue from 5pm onwards and may also slow the general progress of traffic through the park. There is no designated parking for the event but there are lots of spaces around the Domain and in adjoining streets such as Carlton Gore Rd. Car pooling is ideal, however. Get a designated driver in to drop off a bunch of team mates and the BBQ stuff and then go find a parking space.
Please be aware that in our new location - unlike in previous years - there is absolutely no access to the grass surface for vehicles. However, bring along some strapping team mates and pull up on Football Rd opposite the venue and you should not have to carry your things more than 50 metres or so.
